Thank you for taking a moment to read the newsletter to stay informed on all things Golden High School Boys Lacrosse.  As we transition from Team Snap to SportsYOU; the Newsletter will evolve as well.  We’re going with a .pdf for now, but this may change.  Regardless, it is important to get information out consistently, so here we go… 

📍WEDNESDAY THIS WEEK – GHS Spring Sports Parent/Coach Meeting – Parents and Players are invited.

📅Wednesday February 11th at 6 PM in the Large Gym at GHS.  

A Boys Lacrosse meeting will be immediately after the school spring sports meeting.  All are encouraged to attend, even if you’re a returning player.

✅Spring Sports Athletic Registration is OPEN NOW – Registration closes on February 18th at 3:30 PM.

Please be aware that CHSAA is requiring this as the Sports Physical form Sports Physical CLEARANCE

🛒TEAM STORE OPEN NOW until Wednesday February 11 at 12:00 Midnight.

The Team Store is open for NOW until February 11!  If you need anything or wish you had purchased something the first time, now is the time!  The team store will not open again this season.

Jeffco School District is moving to SportsYou and all Sports Teams are required to use SportsYou for team communication.  Please join our team on SportsYou immediately.  You received an email with details or you can go to www.sportsyou.com with  Access Code is B9LU-SRYY.

🏈4th Annual SUPER BOWL GRID! 

THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the Super Bowl Grid this year.  While it may not seem like much at $25 and $5 per square, all of these small fundraisers add up for our Boys Lacrosse Program.  We raised $1,320 with the Super Bowl Grid!  Wahoo!!!  

We do have our grand finale fundraiser Fan Angel coming up with the kick-off of the Spring Season. Fan Angel is a direct-give campaign that can be sent out to friends and family near and far.  It has been quite successful in the past and we look forward to another great year with full participation from all of our student athletes.

🍴Restaurant Nights 

We have Restaurant Nights coming up.  Mark your calendar and plan to support these local restaurants, make dinner easy on yourself and earn some money for our boys all at the same time.

Please read this information  below.  We are encouraging all Players and Families to share this information with at least 5 people they know.  Think creatively; your Dentist, Orthodontist, Pediatrician, favorite restaurant, Gym, Accountant, Barber, Hair Salon, Lawn Service, etc.  Don’t be shy, what if they say “yes!” 

Golden High School’s boys lacrosse program is experiencing incredible growth and success. We are now one of the largest programs at Golden High School and in the state of Colorado, With nearly 90 student-athletes across three teams (Varsity, JV, and L3).

As our lacrosse program grows and district budget cutbacks continue, we are experiencing increased financial challenges. While player paid booster fees and fundraising help cover some necessities, donor and sponsor contributions are essential to addressing our most urgent equipment and facility needs.

We’re only 2 weeks away from the official start of the Spring Season.  It’s coming in FAST!  Are you ready?  

There are weekly opportunities to train and practice before Try-Outs begin on Monday, February 23.  Be sure to take full advantage of these opportunities.

• TUESDAYS at 3:45 PM – Train with NEXUS in the GHS Weight Room.
• FRIDAYS at 4:30 PM – Indoor Practice at Foothills Sports Arena
